 Purple-tipped Bay Anemone Macrodactyla doreensis
Appearance: Red to grey body. White to grey tentacles with purple to red tips.
Size: To 80mm across.
Location: Found on mud and sand in lower intertidal and shallow subtidal zones.

 Haddon's Anemone Stichadctyla haddoni
Appearance: Slightly to deeply folded oral disc. Oral disc, lower portion of tentacles are commonly yellowish or tan. Tentacle ends can be green, yellow, gray and sometimes pink.
Size: 500mm to 800mm across.
Location: Found in muddy sandflats and lower intertidal zones.
Information: Often host to a myriad of commensal shrimp. Tentacles sticky to touch and may adhere to human skin.

 Waratah Anemone Actinia tenebrosa
Appearance: Red tentacles.
Size: To 40mm.
Location: Found in crevices and rock pools in mid to lower intertidal zones.
Information: Found in groups. Prey is caught and digested by the use of its tentacles and sticky threads that eject poison that paralyses small animals.

 Muddy Shore Anemone Boloceroides mcmurrichii
Appearance: Brown body. Cream/yellow and brown banded shaped tentacles.
Size: To 10mm.
Information: Found on mud and sand in lower intertidal and shallow subtidal zones. Usually found attached to seagrass blades, but can easily detach and swim with ease.
